Business owners notice several symptoms that point to ductwork problems or a need for new ductwork installation. Weak airflow from some vents while others push strong air indicates the duct system is not balanced or has leaks. Inconsistent temperatures across different zones or floors often mean the ductwork is undersized, damaged, or poorly connected.
Visible damage to exposed ductwork, like dents, disconnected sections, or torn insulation, is a clear sign the system needs attention. Unusual sounds such as rattling, whistling, or banging from the ductwork suggest loose components or airflow restrictions. Musty or stale odors coming from vents may indicate mold growth inside the ducts or poor indoor air quality circulation.
High energy bills without a clear explanation can point to ductwork that has leaks, gaps, or poor insulation causing the HVAC system to work harder than necessary. If pest activity has been found near vents or inside the ductwork, the system likely needs professional inspection and possible replacement to address contamination.

He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Commercial ductwork installation cost varies based on several factors specific to each project. The size of your building and the total linear feet of ductwork needed is the primary cost driver. Larger buildings with complex layouts require more material and labor, increasing the overall investment.
Material choice affects price. Sheet metal ductwork provides durability and longevity for most commercial applications. Flexible ductwork typically costs less upfront but has more limitations. Specialty materials for specific applications like kitchen ventilation or high-pressure systems carry different pricing based on requirements.
System complexity matters. Buildings with multiple zones, high ceilings, or challenging layouts require more engineering and labor to install properly. Additional components like dampers, grilles, and diffusers add to the material cost. When comparing costs, consider that commercial HVAC installation includes ductwork as part of a complete system package, which may be more cost-effective for total replacements. For buildings primarily needing heating-side distribution, commercial heating installation focuses on the heating ductwork specifically.
