Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For optimal performance and longevity, Clinchmore homeowners should schedule HVAC maintenance twice yearly—once before summer for your cooling system and once before winter for heating equipment. Regular maintenance by a qualified HVAC contractor in Clinchmore catches small issues before they become expensive repairs. Tennessee’s humid climate puts additional strain on cooling systems, making professional tune-ups especially important. During a maintenance visit, technicians clean components, check refrigerant levels, inspect electrical connections, and calibrate thermostats. This preventive care typically costs a fraction of emergency repairs and can extend your system’s lifespan by several years.
Unusual sounds from your furnace in Clinchmore can indicate various issues ranging from minor to serious. Rattling or bouncing noises often suggest loose components, while screeching sounds may point to blower motor problems. If you hear clicking near the ignition, a failing ignitor might be the culprit. Rumbling sounds when the burner activates could mean delayed ignition. Regardless of the sound type, unusual noises warrant professional attention from a qualified furnace repair technician in Clinchmore. Ignoring these warning signs risks complete system failure or safety hazards like gas leaks. Contact ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling for prompt diagnosis and repair.
Proper AC sizing for your Clinchmore home depends on several factors including square footage, ceiling height, insulation levels, window quality, and sun exposure. An undersized unit struggles to cool your home efficiently, running constantly without achieving desired temperatures. An oversized unit short-cycles, wasting energy and failing to properly dehumidify. A professional air conditioning contractor in Clinchmore performs detailed load calculations using industry-standard methods. This ensures your new system matches your home’s specific cooling requirements. At ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling, we provide accurate sizing assessments as part of our installation services, preventing the comfort and efficiency problems caused by incorrectly sized equipment.
Indoor air quality affects your family’s health and comfort throughout the year in Clinchmore. Start with simple steps like changing HVAC filters regularly—every 1-3 months depending on usage and household factors. Maintain humidity levels between 30-50% using whole-home humidifiers or dehumidifiers appropriate for Tennessee’s variable climate. Schedule professional duct cleaning in Clinchmore every 3-5 years to remove accumulated contaminants. Consider installing UV air purifiers or air scrubbers that integrate with your HVAC system to neutralize bacteria, viruses, and mold spores. Ventilation matters too—use exhaust fans when cooking or showering. For personalized recommendations, consult the indoor air quality experts at ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling.
Deciding between repair and replacement depends on your system’s age, condition, and efficiency. In Clinchmore, HVAC systems over 10-15 years old typically warrant replacement consideration, especially if repair costs exceed 50% of new system pricing. Newer high-efficiency units can significantly reduce monthly energy bills—a worthwhile investment given Tennessee’s extended heating and cooling seasons. Consider the heating contractor in Clinchmore perspective: if your furnace frequently needs repairs or your air conditioning struggles during peak summer heat, replacement often proves more economical long-term. ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling provides honest assessments during service calls, helping you weigh repair costs against replacement benefits based on your specific situation and budget.
