Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our technicians generally recommend replacement when your furnace is over 15-20 years old, requires frequent repairs totaling more than half the cost of a new unit, or produces inconsistent temperatures and higher energy bills despite maintenance. For newer systems or isolated issues like a failing ignitor or blower motor, furnace repair in Andersonville is usually the smarter choice. We’ll honestly assess your situation and help you make the decision that makes the most sense for your budget and comfort needs.
This symptom, called short-cycling, often stems from a malfunctioning thermostat, dirty air filters restricting airflow, refrigerant issues, or an oversized system. In Andersonville’s humid climate, short-cycling prevents proper dehumidification, leaving your home feeling clammy. Our AC repair technicians in Andersonville will diagnose the specific cause and recommend the appropriate fix to restore consistent, comfortable cooling.
We recommend annual maintenance for both your heating and cooling systems—ideally in early fall for heating equipment and late spring for air conditioning. Regular HVAC maintenance in Andersonville catches minor issues before they become expensive problems, improves energy efficiency, and extends your equipment’s lifespan. Many manufacturers also require documented maintenance to keep warranties valid.
Heat pump sizing depends on your home’s square footage, insulation levels, window quality, ceiling height, and local climate conditions. A unit that’s too small won’t keep you comfortable on the coldest Andersonville days, while an oversized system cycles on and off too frequently, wasting energy and wearing out faster. Our heating contractor team in Andersonville performs professional load calculations to recommend the perfect heat pump size for your specific needs.
Several targeted solutions can make a significant difference. Upgrading your air filter to a higher MERV rating captures more particles, and running bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans reduces moisture and pollutants. Air duct cleaning in Andersonville removes accumulated dust and allergens from your ductwork. For persistent issues like allergies or odors, we also offer standalone air purifiers and UV lights that work alongside your existing HVAC system.
Tell us a little about your home and what’s going on with your HVAC system. A member of the ThermoSTAT team will get back to you with honest answers, clear pricing, and a service window that works for your schedule.
