Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alder homeowners should schedule HVAC maintenance in Alder at least twice annually—once before summer for your cooling system and once before winter for heating equipment. Regular maintenance catches small problems before they become expensive repairs, extends equipment lifespan, and maintains efficiency. Tennessee’s humid climate puts extra strain on AC systems, making professional tune-ups especially valuable. ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling offers affordable maintenance plans that keep your system running reliably year-round.
Strange furnace noises in Alder homes often indicate mechanical problems requiring attention. Rattling sounds might suggest loose components, while grinding noises could signal motor issues. Banging sounds during startup may point to delayed ignition, which is a safety concern. If your furnace in Alder is making unusual sounds, schedule a professional inspection promptly. Ignoring these warning signs can lead to complete system failure or safety hazards. Our technicians diagnose and resolve furnace noise issues quickly.
Watch for these indicators that you need AC repair in Alder: weak airflow, warm air instead of cool, unusual odors or sounds, frequent cycling, or suddenly high energy bills. Water pooling around your unit or ice buildup also signal problems. Tennessee summers are hot, and struggling AC units work harder, costing you money. Early intervention prevents complete breakdowns. Contact ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling at the first sign of trouble for fast, reliable air conditioning repair service.
Generally, if your HVAC system is over 15 years old and requires frequent furnace repairs in Alder or AC repairs in Alder, replacement makes more financial sense. New systems offer significantly improved efficiency, lower operating costs, and fewer breakdowns. However, if the system is relatively young and repairs are minor, maintenance makes sense. Our technicians provide honest assessments without pushing unnecessary sales. We’ll help you weigh repair costs against replacement benefits based on your specific situation.
Alder residents can enhance indoor air quality through several approaches. Professional duct cleaning in Alder removes accumulated dust and allergens. Installing UV air purifiers or whole-home air scrubbers adds another protection layer. Regular filter changes—every 1-3 months—prevent particle circulation. Controlling humidity with proper humidifier installation in Alder also helps. ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling assesses your home’s specific needs and recommends solutions that make a real difference in air quality.
Tell us a little about your home and what’s going on with your HVAC system. A member of the ThermoSTAT team will get back to you with honest answers, clear pricing, and a service window that works for your schedule.
