Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Moores Camp homeowners should schedule HVAC maintenance twice annually—once before summer for your cooling system and once before winter for heating equipment. Regular maintenance by our HVAC maintenance in Moores Camp team catches minor issues before they become major repairs, improves energy efficiency, and extends equipment lifespan. Tennessee’s humid climate makes spring AC servicing especially important to ensure reliable performance during hot months. Maintenance visits typically include inspections, cleaning, filter replacement, and system testing to keep your HVAC running smoothly.
Consider repair when your furnace is relatively new (under 10-15 years) and problems are isolated, like a faulty ignitor or blower motor. Choose replacement when the system requires frequent furnace repair in Moores Camp, energy bills are rising despite normal usage, or repairs exceed 50% of replacement cost. Our technicians provide honest assessments during furnace inspections, helping Moores Camp homeowners make informed decisions about whether repair or furnace replacement in Moores Camp makes better financial sense for their situation.
Air conditioner freezing typically results from restricted airflow (dirty filters or closed vents), low refrigerant levels, or malfunctioning blower fans. When warm, humid Moores Camp air tries to pass through a clogged filter, the temperature drop causes condensation to freeze. Our air conditioning repair service in Moores Camp technicians diagnose the specific cause and recommend solutions. Regular filter changes and annual maintenance help prevent freezing issues and keep your cooling system operating efficiently throughout the summer.
Improving indoor air quality involves multiple strategies: replace HVAC filters regularly (every 1-3 months), schedule professional air duct cleaning in Moores Camp every 3-5 years, use ventilation fans in kitchens and bathrooms, maintain appropriate humidity levels (30-50%), and address sources of pollutants like cleaning products and off-gassing materials. Our team offers indoor air quality assessments and can recommend solutions like air purifiers, UV lights, and filtration systems tailored to your Moores Camp home’s specific needs.
Proper HVAC sizing depends on your home’s square footage, layout, insulation levels, window efficiency, and sun exposure. Undersized systems struggle to maintain comfort during extreme weather, while oversized units cycle frequently and waste energy. Our HVAC contractor in Moores Camp performs detailed load calculations before recommending equipment. For new installations or replacements, we ensure your system is correctly sized for efficient, consistent comfort in Tennessee’s variable climate conditions.
Tell us a little about your home and what’s going on with your HVAC system. A member of the ThermoSTAT team will get back to you with honest answers, clear pricing, and a service window that works for your schedule.
