He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recommend Coalfield homeowners schedule HVAC maintenance twice yearly—once before summer for your cooling system and once before winter for heating equipment. Regular maintenance from our HVAC maintenance in Coalfield team catches small problems before they become expensive repairs, improves energy efficiency, and extends equipment lifespan. During these tune-ups, we inspect components, clean critical parts, check refrigerant levels, and verify safe operation. Many manufacturers also require documented maintenance for warranty coverage, making professional service essential for protecting your investment.
Strange furnace noises in Coalfield homes typically indicate mechanical problems that require professional attention. Rattling sounds might suggest loose components, while grinding noises often point to blower motor issues requiring furnace repair in Coalfield. Banging or booming sounds can indicate delayed ignition, which creates safety concerns. Squealing may signal belt problems or motor bearing wear. Our technicians diagnose these sounds accurately and recommend appropriate repairs. Ignoring furnace noises rarely makes the problem disappear—in most cases, issues worsen over time, leading to complete system failure or expensive repairs that could have been prevented with prompt attention.
Proper HVAC sizing for your Coalfield home requires professional load calculation considering square footage, insulation levels, window quality, ceiling height, and orientation. Many older homes were equipped with oversized systems that cycle inefficiently, wasting energy and causing uncomfortable temperature swings. Our heating contractor team performs Manual J calculations to determine accurate sizing requirements. An undersized system struggles during extreme weather, while an oversized unit short-cycles and fails to dehumidify properly. This investment in proper sizing ensures your new equipment performs efficiently and maintains consistent comfort throughout your home.
Coalfield families can improve indoor air quality through several strategies, starting with professional air duct cleaning in Coalfield to remove accumulated dust and allergens. Regular filter changes—at least every 30-90 days depending on your system and household conditions—capture particulates before they circulate. Whole-home air purifiers and UV germicidal lights add additional protection against pathogens and biological growth. Humidity management becomes particularly important given Tennessee’s humid summers; both too much and too little moisture create comfort and health issues. Our indoor air quality specialists assess your specific situation and recommend solutions that address your family’s unique concerns.
The repair-versus-replace decision depends on several factors our technicians evaluate during inspection. Generally, systems over 15 years old with repair costs exceeding 50% of replacement value should be considered for upgrade. Newer systems under ten years often benefit more from repair than replacement. We consider equipment age, repair history, efficiency rating, and operating costs when advising Coalfield homeowners. Today’s high-efficiency systems deliver 15-25% better efficiency than units even a decade old, potentially saving hundreds annually on utility bills. Our heating contractor team provides honest assessments so you can make the best financial decision for your household’s long-term comfort.
